The plant sale attracts a great number of enthusiastic shoppers. I think that is because of the diversity of plants that are available and the prices. It starts when the gate opens at 930 am, and there are usually people lined up at the gate waiting to get in.

It is nice to see all the activity that goes on at the FOR SALE TABLES. There are novice enthusiasts that are eagerly absorbing knowledge from the more experienced ones.

Anyone can purchase from the FOR SALE TABLES and anyone can sell. I would encourage anyone to bring any extra plants you might have and sell them. When you do sell them , you would have some jingle in your jeans to buy some new ones. Not only that, but, it is a great way to meet others and network with them.

If you are bringing plants to sell, these are some helpful guidelines.

-they should be labelled with your name, Latin/botanical name, common name and the price, some plant information would be appreciated also.

 -bring as many as you want

 - no asiatic lilies, no tiger lilies, no oriental lilies, we want to reduce the risk of the red lily beetle.

 - if you would like to bring your own table please do so. There will be tables to use, but the tables will have other plants on them as well.

 - you can bring plants at anytime, as there are always shoppers.

 - if you would like to volunteer to help out at the FOR SALE TABLES we would love to have you, just let us know so we can include you on the schedule.

 - you do not have to stay with your plants at the FOR SALE TABLES, you certainly can if you wish to. We have coffee cans with slotted lids, and your name goes on the can , purchasers can drop money in your can for your plants. This has worked quite well for us.

 -we ask that you donate 10% of your total sales to UPPE to help to cover event expenses.

For those that are registered for the exchange, there will be a draw for a $50 gift card that can be used toward the purchase of perennials from the FOR SALE TABLES(for use for the perennials provided by Garry only) on the day of the event.

Your name will be automatically entered into the draw when you have pre-registered for the plant exchange. The draw for this will take place on Thursday, June 11th and the winner will be notified.

All plants on the FOR SALE TABLES are first come first served and there are no rain checks.

To be eligible for this you must first be pre-registered for the plant exchange.

We have a generous donation of perennial seeds from BOTANICALLY INCLINED, a Canadian company. 33 packets of seeds to be exact, so, please support them if you can.

These seeds will be available to ANYONE in attendance to bid on in a silent auction, starting at 930 am and concluding at 1 pm.
